Quick fix for leaky fork seal 87 C-2 200
I have tried everything to get the bottom hex nut out of the fork tube, air, heat, impact driver, more heat, it wont budge. So a re-build is impossible. Is there another way to contain the fork oil? Would some kind of seal swelling stuff work, maybe much thicker oil. I am not to worried about over-all performance on this bike, just rideable.

You really need to take them apart at that age of fork. Lots of bad stuff in there I'm sure. Isn't there supposed to be a tool to hold the innards when turning that hex?
Otherwise, if it were me, I'd jump at Inda's offer.

Thanks for the offer, I was looking forward to doing this re-build I even bought one of those cheapo electric rattle guns. Boy I am 0 fer on this project, tried doing rear hub bearings and the drum side bearings were fused to the hub what a shmangled mess. I will try the Seal Heal and see how it does or wait for a parts bike to go up for sale locally, that will go over just super I will probably end up sleeping in the garage with it.. oh well theres enough room even made room for my kids lil 65.
