I can tell you my oem KDX setup measures 26" from the center of the axle to the bottom of the bottom clamp. Unloaded.

The KX setup I got (supposedly '99 KX250) measures 27".


Granted, that doesn't have anything to do with race sag...but I'm a long way from worrying about that. Between spacing the top clamp up some and changing my adjustable pull rods some...I should be able to get to fairly right attitude-wise (speaking of the bike's attitude...sureashell not mine).

The clamp measurement will throw off the true measurement. The bottom clamp on a KDX is off-set upwards... A KX's is not. I think the only true way to get a measurement is to measure from the ground to the bottom of the stem tube. This will make up for any false readings your clamps will give.
