Lighting option

Post by luke347 »

I was wondering how many people are running stock tail lights on there bike? Some thing I figured out while breaking my rear fender off along with the tail light that my head light was running way brighter, Duh no more power sucking tail light, but in this I came up with the idea of running an led tail light, since its only gonna use about a quarter of the wattage the original one did and around 3 times the intensity, plus replacing the original tail light with all the workings of the led tail light would only cost me around 7 bucks, good deal huh? tell me what you guys think of the idea I could send you guys the schematic and part numbers tto get all the stuff also. :supz:

A lot of the LED taillights end up vibrating themselves apart, but its a good way to keep your taillight and a bright headlight. A better option is to get a 75w lighting coil and use regular bulbs.

I was thinking of putting one of the tail lights that the new KTM models come with. I'm not sure how well it would hook up though, anyone try this?

Okay so that 8 dollar tail light is worth about 2.50 If you had made it your self Im going to just run a led tail light because I can build it as a project at school for free and I really doubt led tailights are gonna vibrate them selfs apart, but ill update you guys when i get mine working.
