I moved this from parts so I can see if anyone has advice. I want to buy a manual for my bike but Kawasaki wants to send me a manual for a 200. My question is what is the 250 more like? It has USD forks and motor for a KX since it was based on the 89 from what I hear. Do I fork out the money for both KDX 200 and a KX 250 manual and just see what fits where, or just buy either one and hope I don't run into problems?
EDIT:
I have seen a supplement to the 200 manual but is this it?

If you're talking about a manual for the current bikes (94 and newer) , the supplement is for the 220. That way they can charge you another $12 to tell you your 220's piston is bigger, has an O-ring chain, different port timing, and your compression ratio sucks.

This one. If it really isn't needed then I will save the money. It kind of sucks that they were only made for a few years. I don't see many around.

Hi. Ive got a 91' 250 and of course its the same way. The guy i bought it off of had both manuals. The 91' 200 and the 91' 250 supplement. Although i havent totally looked through them both, from what i can tell, most of the important stuff is in the 200 manual. Although all of the correct specs as far as the motor and suspension are in the supplement. So, If your planing on riding, and just doing a little general tinkering, id go with the 200 manual, but if your gonna go through it, ya better get the supplement, or instructions off the net via a microfish . Im not sure, but maybe they make a Haynes book or something like it , like they do for a car. Probably wasnt much help, but i tried. Glad to see a fellow 250 rider!!!! Rick.

Thank You both for your responses. I will probably ask for Santa to bring me the 200 manual, even though my wife HATES to buy me anything bike related but maybe she will relent or maybe it will just show up in the garage and she will never know the difference.

I live closer to Chicago but am trying to get down to LBL this spring. My Grandmother lives in Muncie by good ol' Ball U., one of the top party schools in the US. But I usually try to go to Haspins in Laurel every year or so. So maybe we can hook up at either. I will look for that on Eb@y when I get home I am at work and it is blocked, I have no idea why.
