Anybody running this mod?

I've been thinking about doing the same on mine but I have never heard anybody on this forum mentioning it. Any particular reason?
Thx

Because it is much better to tear it down once a year and manually inspect the bearings and flush the old grease completely out.

Yes agree with Inda but if the modif work well it should be great.

Mid-season ZERKING and tear down once a year too.

The better of two worlds?

This is jonhkdx220 pics on this forum. Maybe he could explain?

I am the one who posted these pics.

I did these mods during the winter season in 2003. In hindsight, I would not do the swingarms mods. I prefer doing a complete yearly teardown of the swingarm.

I would still do the zerk on the steering head. Be warned that grease will "spit" on the back side of the front fender. A small price to pay for the peace of mind.

sounds like a good mod for the peace of mind.
Any trick as far as the install? I imagine it's just a matter of disassemble, drill, tap, clean and install (and then grease  )

Its as simple as that!

While you are there, do like Inda and I, do KX front end conversion. :supz:

Got that right! it's on my to do list
(the problem is I also have DFIII reed and air striker on that list )
I am seriously concidering doing the conversion before the other mods, I am plenty happy with the power right now (need to be jetted a bit better though). I'm just a bit scared to go faster if you know what I mean  severe head shake  I feel like a rag doll sometimes.

If your experiencing sever headshake and don't want to install heavier springs (the fix!!) in the front because your going to do the KX conversion. Ensure your tripe tree stem is set to OEM specs: ensure the top of the forks are flush with the top of the triple tree:and increase the race sag on your shock spring. Tis better to bottom a little more often then to smack a tree/rock/boulder due to head shake.
