Yea but I got into a bumpy and slik as ice trying to go easy BUT little bit of throttle and it will slip right out from under ya. And it is very hard to pick it back up in boots on that kind of stuff needless to say I ended up just as muddy as the ground.bradf wrote: Touchy is good. It means it is free.

I only had problems riding on ice and slippery snotty slush covered rocks when I was riding in...ice and slippery snot, well you get the pic. I had to stop doing that. I too would fall, usually while going very slow or even stopped. It is HARD riding conditions! The tires just aren't made for that. Maybe some type of trials tires would bite better.

'Know a kid who got a new 200xc that he thought was too zippy in the woods. He's bought the G2 kit. He stuck with the most highly-cammed of the three cams - he keeps it on all the time (doesn't use the other two cams). 'Says it's makes the throttle less sensitive because it spreads like the 1st 1/3 throttle over more distance. The last 2/3s of the throttle roll quicker but I guess it doesn't matter as much because he's already in the bike's power band. He also bought a Steahly (spelling?) flywheel weight and says that it makes the bike more fun to ride.

Kinda defeating what you are trying to do ain't ya?
A cam is going to ramp up the throttle instead of making it equally progressive.
I have a stock replacement tube and there is no cam operation at all.

I was hoping there was a stiffer spring but the more I think about it that would cause me to have a sore right wrist, hand, and arm

A cam will 'ramp up the throttle'?
You could say that.
Or, it makes the throttle '...less sensitive because it spreads like the 1st 1/3 throttle over more distance. The last 2/3s of the throttle roll quicker...'?
You could say that, too.
Both are pretty much definitions of a cam operated throttle.
You're simply changing the rate of slide lift compared to throttle twist. The point is to make it NOT equally progressive.
