IT STARTED!!!

Post by Mr. Wibbens »

Amazing the old '92 KDX has been sitting out in the shed since 05/21/05,
never tried starting it since. Went out today, kicked it about twenty times drained the bowl and kicked it twice and she started right up. Warmed it up and rode around the alley, runs fine. Last time I rode it, it had eight month old gas in it and it started and ran fine

So what all started this wanting to get the ol' dirt bike running?

Wanna take some guesses?

And not from Carvr, he might figure it out

Mid-life crisis time?

New lady needin to see what a rough-n-tumble fellow she's gettin close to?(hope the wifey don't see this)

Needed to move it somewhere and seemed easier to load into the trailer/truck if it was helpin with the climb aboard?

Time to sell and you don't want to try starting it 1st-time-in-a-long-while right smack dab in front of a prospective buyer?

OK..hell if I know!

Hey Wibby, Since my V-Strom is not running, I took the KDX out for the first real ride since this spring. Lovin it! Bike started up in 5 kicks. I shouldn't have waited so long. Can't wait to do some trails later today!

I got stopped for speeding and the cop asks me "Don't you know the speed limit is 55 miles per hour?" So I said "yeah but I wasn't gonna be out that long."

Mine runs but it's still a little sore
