Has anyone ever heard of a 1997 KDX220 coming stock with a lime green fuel tank instead of violet (purple)? My buddy bought one yesterday, and it had a "This 1997 motorcycle meets EPA..." sticker on the head tube, but it had a lime green fuel tank. Buykawasaki.com shows a violet tank.
Thanks.
Any 1997 220's with a lime green tank?

Which year did they switch to the green tanks? Maybe it sat on the dealers floor for a while and then was found to have a broken tank neck, and was replaced?

I think buykawasaki.com shows purple tanks for:
1996 KDX200
1997 KDX220
Lime green was 1995/1997 - 2002 for the 200.
Lime green is shown as 1998 - 2002 for the 220.
I guess it may be like how many licks to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop.
That was the first time I ever rode a '95 and up KDX. It was cool! :-)
