Yes, the use of a torque plate, etc is what I was referring to, and yes it's probably least likely on a alum bike cyl. Incorrectly used/torqued will cause issues. The rest of what I said is probably closer related to would potentially happened to CC. It was out of round to start with from wear. Maybe if it had been bored to 225, then plated it wouldn't be out of round but who knows. I'm just glad he's all fixed up!
