worn clutch basket? pic inside.

Post by kdxquebec »

I never seen a pic of a worn/grooved clutch basket so i took a pic my basket to show you.

I think it is worn but what do you guys think?

So what is the next step??

1-use it like this?
2-Buy a new one? how much?$$
3-repair my old one? can we do this?
4-sell the bike

thanks

I agree, looks like a light file and your good as new. The wear you're seeing is very minimal.

Unfortunatly, Hinson no longer makes a basket for the KDX. Fredette bought the remaining stock somewhere...but, he only had a few left when we bought one from him about 6 months ago. Only other option is OEM.

OEM is approx. $210-$260

As those before me stated...yours should be fine with a little sweat and a little filing.
