Good knobby for dunes, or 19" rear wheel?

Post by TEEEE »

I'm racing in the Worcs Oceano Dunes Beach Race this October and they don’t allow paddle tires. All the good sand knobbies only come in 19” sizes. Anyone have ideas for a GOOD sand knobby in an 18” size or some way to run a 19” rear wheel?

Thanks!

Take an old rear tire and use a hot knife and make your own...

My 90 kdx is a bit older but I found 19 in wheels fit from my 94 RM125 and a wheel Im running from a KX125 no problems with bearings or brake components.
I like the 19in wheel.

M5B works pretty well in the sand and comes in 18 inch size. 22/32 inch knobs if I recall correctly.
