if you dont have a max bid of like 2500 then it probably wont happen, but heck it is a nice bike!!!

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised it if goes for closer to $3000 or even $3400. I'm not that high into the game. It's one of those things where if it somehow goes for $1800 and I didn't have a bid, I'd cry. But, on things like this, I like to put my bid in early and just see what happens. If I get beat, I get beat, If I win, I win. God's will be done!

I just won a 2002 Yamaha Grizzly 660 (picked it up after the Lakewood MX) and I thought for sure I was going to get sniped on it, but nope...I got it and am VERY happy with it. On the KTM, Las Cruces IS a 500 mile 1-way drive for me. CLEAR across the state, top to bottom. So, I've gotta budget $200 to go get the thing in addition to the actual cost of the bike.

Anyway, we'll just see what happens!

If you think that's the right thing to do, then go for it.

I bid what I can afford and if you can afford more than that, you'll win. That's the thing about ebay- if you win, you paid more for something than anyone else thought it was worth!

it was a joke

Or just maybe he is a friend of the owner of the bike and is just trying to help his buddy get the most out of the bike. Just never know about what drives the buyers on E-bay.

Well, looks like I won!!! Might as well ban me from the site now...

Seriously, though, I really like my KDX and KX but am just trying to simply and consolidate things and am looking for 1 bike that can do it all. I'm hoping to get the JR80, KX125, and KDX200 all sold and then I'll be down to 3 bikes: the XR50, TTR125, and KTM200. That's manageable.

Guess I'll go prep the KDX for sale tomorrow.

So..you're cw6...?

A 200 for $2325?

Sounds like a steal to me.

The guy didn't ride the thing...not enough to know anything about it, anyway.

Hope it works out great!

..you need a Scotts on a katoom.....

As in need.

Good deal! Kind of a rare bike. Not that many people buy SX200's. It's a SX125 w/ a 200cc jug on it. No where near woods worthy. It's meant to be a transition bike from 125 to 250 class MX. MX forks/shock/tank/bars/flywheel, close ratio trans, no lighting coil, 19" RW, etc. It will be like starting with a torquier KX125....

Sounds like a steal to me too.

Good luck with the new bike and welcome to the KTM side of riding. The seats are HARD, no kick stand on the SX, add a some flywheel weight, gear the bike, and dial/adjust the suspension for your riding and you should be riding with a smile. Check into the adjustablity of the PV setting. Numerous articles

For the desert type riding that you do there in NM your going to have a lot of fun with the SX. Revalving, flywheel weight and jetting are going to help tame the beast. Have fun with it! :partyman:

Just what I wanted. I don't really ride in the "woods" anyway. They're open jeep trails w/ lots of water breaks (big fun to jump). I'm in 3-4th gear on the KDX most of the time. And when I'm not in the woods, I'm down in the river sand country near Amarillo where there's miles and miles of sand whoops. MOST of the time I'm at our local MX track because it's convenient, safe, and the wife/kids can all ride at our own paces. That's why I went with an SX instead of an EXC.

I'm picking it up Thurs. Ride report later. I haven't put my KDX/KX up for sale yet, just in case I don't like the pumpkin.

I'll tell ya one thing- the KDX has been an awesome bike. I'll never speak anything but praise for those things.

Sounds sweet for ya then!

I put new tires on, adjusted the chain, checked the jets (really rich but running okay), cleaned the air filter, adjusted stuff, put 1/2 tank of 32:1 in and went riding.

Wow.

Out on my little track, it'll wheelie over my whoops in 3rd gear. The KDX will do that in 2nd and the KX won't do it at all. I spent about 20 minutes doing nose wheelies and slow putt-putt wheelies over tires, from weed to week, over puddles, etc. No problem- it'll do great low speed, controlled wheelies. I'm not going to have any problem putting, esp. after I gear the thing down. I took it down the dirt road and right now, it's gotta be going 65-70 flat-out in 6th. I know what 60 felt like on the KDX and 70 on my XR250 and this thing is far too fast. Need to gear it down 3 teeth on the rear and it'll be nice. Did some jumping- no problem there, jumps good and is sensitive in the air like the KX. That can, of course, be good or bad, but I did a few hard nose down/up jumps and was able to control the bike in the air.

After riding it for 30 min or so, I broke out the KX. On my tight track, the KX felt weak. It's fast, alright, but the KTM comes of of corners MUCH harder and that translates to faster corner to corner speed. KX still feels good, but the KTM has it covered.

The KDX felt like a plump marshmallow in comparison. Low end on the KDX is better and low speed wheelies are still better on it. It's certainly plusher. Doing slow, tight, fiqure 8's, I was much more comfortable on the KTM (and KX). The KDX center of gravity is just higher and I'm a short guy. On both KTM/KX, I can lock the bars and spin lower and lower circles until I drag the footpegs. I can't even begin to do that with the KDX- I fall over.

I'm waiting on a new headlight/shell and then I'm taking the KDX down to my friend's RV park lot to park it with a big "For Sale" sign on it. I'm going to ride the KX a little more and start trying to sell it at the track- there's a couple of kids on KX100's that are ready to move. Be perfect for them.

Like I said... your @ss is going to miss the KDX! I like the KTM's too but parts are crazy high... proly not as bad now as they were but my KTM cost me dearly every time I looped out. Did I mention....THROTTLE CONTROL!

I'm at 6,000', don't forget. Lot less power up here than down there.

As for parts, I checked into that before I bought and it looks like I can replace all the wear items w/ aftermarket. Cometic gaskets, Vertex pistons, Acerbis plastics, etc. Gotta watch the kickerstarter and stuff, but when I lost my KDX kicker it was nearly $100 for a new one.

Well, we'll see how it goes. There's always another KDX, right?

My kid rides lot's of different bikes at the track. He's on an '05 YZ125 and loves the motor on the KTM 125, says it feels stronger than his everywhere. He likes his YZ for handling though. His dream bike would be the KTM motor in his YZ. Have fun with that thing, and check in with us from time to time. :supz:
