Choc. Milk gear oil

Post by mars »

My first post here, hello all.

I have a 00 220R, with FMF rev pipe.

Seems like any time I get up over the rims in water on my bike, I get water in the oil.

I end up changing the oil 5 times a week....

I did notice there being a vent line from the gear case that ran down near the rear shock... Should this be routed up towards the airbox?

I can't see any oil leaks anyplace...

I am begining to think this vent hose should run up under the seat someplace. I got the bike used a couple months ago. Runs very well other than this problem...

Thanks!
Thanks!

The vent line that comes out of the case oppisite the kick starter should in fact be routed up to the air box through a hole in the top right. Welcome to the sight!

Don't listen to him. It's all caused by the FMF rev pipe. Just send that to me, and I'll send you a proper FMF woods pipe in exchange.. :supz:

Great, I got a longer hose and routed it up there, now, time to go riding.

Thanks!
