i was just able to get the right side one to bolt on but the plastic gets distorted, the left one is not even close, as you can see in the pictures.

Ryan there is a Grommet on each lower side of the shroud. You don't have???

What GH said. Not really a grommet exactly, but indeed an isolator.

The shrouds don't seem to fit real well in any case. Don't tighten up any one screw before all of them are started.

Tweak your rad mounts if the shroud won't fit. Don't force it or you will be sorry, imo. Putting undue pressure on the tank brass inserts is not a good idea.

BTW...put something on those brass insert bolts (thread locker, sealer, grease, anti-seize..whatever suits you).

Hey! Your forks are upside down!

Ryan, I put the botton bolt in first (through the Metal Rubber thingy) that you don't have :naughty: then I bolt in the top of the shroud (keep loose) than bend the shroud by the seat so you can get the hole & thread lined up than put the bolt in and tighten up :bravo:

There IS a sleeve that's part of the Metal Rubber thingy...hence the metal part of the technical name.

..GH said that...but I'm repeating it in case you missed it. The 'Metal..' part of what he said is important.

i do have the grommets and the metal piece, i figured if i put them in you would not be able to see how bad they line up. Anyway i can get one side to go in but the rad shroud like bends in a ton from all the tension. I will maybe try to bend my rad but i dont see what that will do

I rounded out the holes in the plastic shroud until the bolts fit through them well. I used a sanding bit on my cordless drill to make the holes larger.

I guess this is the area where others may say that Honda has the best "fit and finish" I've never seen a Honda with ill-fitting panels and such.

Here's a pic I took....does it count?

The 'collar' used at the radiator is a bushing with a sleeve installed prevent squishing it too much..similar to the pieces used to hold on the tail light assy.

Ooops. I took to long getting it here. Ryan's pics weren't here when I started........

Ryan..a BTW...a 2271x1702 resolution is counterproductive, especially considering the poor speed of the site that's hosting it. I'm using a T1 speed line..and even at that the pic load speed is awful. Use a resizer to make the things 1/2-way decent sized (640x or so) to make upload much faster for you, to take up much less space on the host, to make them useable to the readers that don't have a 1.5MBs line. IMO and all.

i didnt know they took that long to load, sorry, it only takes about 4 seconds for me... I will try to mount the bushings like the diaghram. I will let you know if it fits better

i was acutally thinking that the picture doesnt make sence. If you have just a grommet the bolt will complelty squish the grommet since there is no sleeve in there. Just a though.
