Well after many weeks/months I finally bite the bullet and picked her up.
Never was quite sure and still am not on how much I will ride her but I am having fun so far.
Did a short 10 minute run as per the manual. Maybe because its been many years since I have been on a bike but boy she seems fast...and no I did not get on it hard at all. Very lite throttle through the gears but she seems very snappy. It's great to be in the saddle again.
After the breakin I will start tearing her down to get everthing all greased up.
Dealer looked like they did a half way decent job but I will still regrease everthing and get some new fork springs for my weight along with hand & rad guards.
Thanks to all for answering my questions
WOW!!! PICKED UP MY NEW KDX FROM THE DEALER!!!

Unless you have the single dealer in the world that has ever EVER done it, your bike has grease applied in factory fashion..which is to say there is none..and THAT in not very many places.
But..you've heard that already.
Have fun! Get it tuned up (properly jetted mostly) and you will really be surprised!
Have fun riding!
