Not alot of throw on the throttle sleve ?
My two buddies bikes have like "2' - "3 " when you you twist back the throttle to full throttle, but on my bike with a new throttle cable it goes from idle to full throttle in just like a "1" of twist doesn't seem normal is there a way of adjusting this ???

I think closer to 1 1/2" should be about right.
I think the KDX is forgiving enough where it won't hurt you.
What kinda bikes do your buddies have?

The answer to this:
re: 'is there a way of adjusting this ???'
is..
No.
With a given throttle tube the amount of movement required from the start of the pull (slide moving) to the end (WOT) will be the same.

I had a Magura throttle tube that was adjustable between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle that I put on the KTM... seemed to give me more control. I think they may still sell them somewhere.
It worked on a pully size system... the smaller pully was for 1/2 and the larger was for 1/4....

I haven't looked for the KDX, but there are a number of aftermarket tubes that come with either different ratios or are 'adjustable' in some way.
There certainly is a way of 'adjusting' it if that means DO something about by replacing/re-engineering stuff...but there is not an adjustment to be done to/with the OEM tube..notwithstanding freeplay. But that adjustment doesn't change the amount of twist required.
