I run Motion Pro Throttle & Clutch Cables. They are reasonable & seem to work well

Snapped because...?????
Likely because of wear in the throttle cap tube. So, likely to happen again sooner than later.
The cable does rub (obviously) on that radius, stands to reason that at some point in time a goove will wear in the tube that will not be friendly to any cable, new or not.
Don't bother trying to get Keihin parts (say from Sudco) for that part of the carb. It's Kaw specific. Last time I tried the Sudco people said they knew what I was talking about, what I wanted...I ended up with a bunch of parts that were worthless for the KDX Keihin.
