2000 KDX 220 Fork Guards
Hello!
Lurking for some time now and have resolved many issues thanks to this forum! Thank you !
I have a 2000 KDX 220 with Kayaba forks. I just recently serviced my forks and am in dire need of new fork guards/ slides.
I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find guards noted to fit or see any relative example of what will work!
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I’m pretty sure 04-06 rm 250 - 125 guards will work. You will need 1/4” ID 1/2” OD and 1/4” long nylon spacers for the 2 bolts on each fork leg on the front. They worked for 03 kx 250 KYB forks. Guards: https://www.ebay.com/itm/163538755670?e ... R4y3mN7_YA

Anything can be made to work. I used to run the RM/KX style, but didn’t like the slider rings that you needed. So I had a spare set from my KX250F laying around and bolted them up without issue. Just notch the bottom if required.

I've run without the upper fork guard guides without issue. As long as the guard mounts up fine, you're good.

If they are the stock forks, then UFO brand makes (or made, not sure if they still do) a fork and disc guard.

Would you care to guess which Japanese OEM supplier of suspension Kawasaki paid to have some forks and shocks made to their specification? :-)

Re: 2000 KDX 220 Fork Guards
Stock forks were Kayaba (KYB) so that doesn't narrow it down whatsoever. What model are they off of?d_g_t_l wrote: ↑08:05 pm Oct 21 2022
