Rear tire size suggestions
I haven’t had any luck locating an 18X2.15 kdx wheel so I’m opting out for an 04 KX 250 wheel for my H series kdx (19X1.85) I was wondering what tire size I should go with/what would work? I plan on most woods riding with the ability of taking the bike on a short trip into town. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Re: Rear tire size suggestions
Why not just get an 18" TUSK wheel from rocky mountain? They work awesome. 19" sucks for off road.
But if you insist, run whatever tire size you want. 110/90/19 might work? You could end up having to go to a thinner tire to get that 19" rim to clear the swingarm pocket where the mud flap sits.

I would get an 18 in tusk, but the problem isn’t my back wheel itself, it’s the hub. It won’t hold bearings and it has been JB welded over a crack I’m assuming. I’m only going with the kx wheel because it’s the only hub I can find that won’t cost me $250+Slick_Nick wrote: ↑10:56 am Sep 03 2021 Why not just get an 18" TUSK wheel from rocky mountain? Same rear hub is on the 2006-2007 KLX250S, 94-96 KLX250R, 97-2007 KLX300r, 93-96 KLX650R. Saw a couple on Ebay for under 150$. Could lace it to your existing rim, way better than going to a 19" tire IMO

Re: Rear tire size suggestions
Let me dig through my spare parts as I might still have a KDX rear wheel assembly.

Keep in mind that the E series rear wheel can also be used on your H series. Might have to mess with spacers, IDRRN. I have one of each with different tires that I can swap for my H series.

2003 and newer KX125 / KX250 rear wheels are 25 mm bearings.
Save up and buy the correct hub / wheel.

Good stuff here! I want a spare for my H that I can keep a soft terrain tire on.

Goint to a 19 will change your gearing a bit too. I'm not sure how much but probably a noticeable amount. You might have to change sprocket and chain length to compensate? I would lace a new hub to your stock rim if possible.

Keep your eye on Ebay. I found mine there.
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
