Removing flywheel

Post by KDXMainer »

Ok it’s been a few years since I’ve had trouble with this bike.... 1998 KDX220 ..... my first ride of the season wasn’t that great.... the bike started right up as usual but once warm it was hard starting.... brought it to the trail head and it wouldn’t start... this bike has gone through two starter coils since I’ve owned it.... it’s been a few years but I suspect it needs another one... it does have a small spark but I can’t get it to fire even for a second using starter fluid or pouring premix down the plug hole... I want to pull the fly wheel but can’t remember if the flywheel bolt is a normal righty tighty lefty loosely.... my question is which is it? I know the flywheel puller has a left handed thread but not sure about the bolt... TIA Mike

It's a normal thread. The puller is left hand threaded.
