Hey guys,
In the process of making my 2004 a street legal supermoto.
I've installed Warp9 SM rims with oem hubs + Bucchanan spokes. The rear rim is a 4.25.
So I mounted Dunlop Sportmax GPR300 tires. The rear is a 150/60R17 but my chain rubs badly. Actually I can't even set the tire straight. The side lip of those Dunlop protrudes too much.
My chain is a standard non 0/X-ring.
For those who are using the same rims, what kind of rear tire did you use? 150? Should I go 140 or is there a sm tire more narrow that would fit better?
I've read about offsetting the rim but I don't like the idea too much. Chain slide is not ideal either.
Thanks for the advices!
