Case saver

Post by Theoret »

Hey guys and gals. Thanks for letting me into your group. I have a 2002 kdx 220r. Witch I love and I’m sure you all love the kdx machine. Just a quick question I’m looking for a case saver not mud bucket. Or some input to leave off. Also looking for new clutch cover other then stock. Thanks chris

Welcome to kdxrider.

Check on a front sprocket chain guard in case the chain comes off and flies forward.

(and the fuel hose clamp on the carb if you don't have one)

Hyde makes a plate, as well as Ricochet. I think they used to be called Utah Cycle Sales. Devol made (or makes plates). MSR (Malcolm Smith Racing was / is another.

If you can still get a Devol water pump guard, that might be something to consider also.

Cool frame!

Definitely want to get a chain guide and cover over that drive sprocket (cost you about 30-40$ but will save the case is you throw a chain so worth it)
Devol and Moose both make great skid plates, they'll set you back a hundred bucks, but if you do anything above easy trail riding its good insurance. Works connection makes a glide plate (a mini skid plate that doesnt provide any case coverage). Devol also makes some pretty nice radiator shrouds and a front brake disk guard.
