Owned both bikes since new and i guess i learned how to ride them with weak front springs and clicker dialed in.
I used to seat ride a lot and now do a lot of standing so my butt dont get as bruised on bumps.
I noticed my son riding my 91 was bottoming out too much and he has grown since i lowered the bike.
Adjusted rear spring to where its much better but the front dips too much.
I weight about 210 and my son about 230, we almost 6 feet tall
Not going with progressive springs.
Purchased
for 91 200 (230# rdfer)
Race Tech Fork Springs 0.46 kg/mm #FRSP 375046
and for 97 220 (210# rider)
Race Tech Fork Springs 0.44 kg/mm #FRSP 3750K
going wiht 5wt oil for now and then document our mods going forward.

Re: making the front end stiffer after all these years
Yep. Sounds about right to me.
I think 3647 is their intended spring for 1993+ KDX200/KDX220R.
