Heya.
Kdx 200 1991
I just had my cylinder meassured. By a guy with experience, result was 66.05 66.06 66.07 at different places so 66.06. The manual says im good for another 0.04. Stock is 66.01-66.03 and service intervall at 66.10.
The piston however meassured 66.86, way too low.
So its time to get a new one.
Cyl-piston clearence is 0.063-0.093
So a d piston sounds good, prox
But found a wiseco for cheaper. Since i have 66.06 cylinder the wizeco should be okey.
So should i get a wizeco or a prox?
Or a cast (molding, not sure about the English word ) like wössner. They need less clearence right?
Im learning this whole thing atm so any help is really appreciated.
Cheers and braaap
Another piston question :D

Re: Another piston question :D
I think any would be fine, just warm it up properly and keep an eye on service intervals.

Re: Another piston question :D
I would say either as well, big debate, the forged pistons are supposed to be a little more NON forgiving in making sure its warmed-up but are more durable...
Race teams use both just do what KDX said
