On my 1985 KDX200, I alsways ran a hotter plug, than stock. My dealer said, if your riding is mostly tight, the hotter may help your plug stay cleaner w/o loading up. If you ride WOT the stock or colder plug may benefit your bike, especially at very hot exterior temps. Back then I mixed Oil/Gas & Rode. Jettings??? Had NO CLUE, Still learning that. But now I see how jetting comes into play & is the heart beat of how the bike runs
