looking for some seat advice

Post by G22inSC »

I'm looking to replace my OEM seat with something different. I'm pondering either Guts Racing or CEET for the foam. I would kinda like a "tall" just to help flatten the "bucket seat" to a degree but don't really need a truly tall seat. I've also just considered a stiffer foam so that I don't sink into the seat as much. I don't want a KTM two by four but I also don't want anything even remotely close to being softer than the OEM soft foam. What do you'll think? Does anyone have any experience with the Guts Racing or CEET foams? How hard are the firm foams? Thanks so much in advance.

I used a CEET on my old '90. It was firmer than stock but still very comfortable.

CEET lists a hard, medium and soft option. Do you happen to recall which one you had which was still firmer than stock but comfortable?

I've always heard that the CEET hard was an absolute brick.

I bought a bike that had a guts tall soft seat that I definitely would of kept if I was over 6’+ . The feeling of on the bike and not in the bike was appreciated, but I’m height challenged lol

Luckily I still have my receipt! It was the Kawasaki KDX200 1989-94' Standard Seat Foam Item# FK011.

Thanks SS109.

Anyone have pics of known Guts or CEET tall setups? I thought I read somewhere years ago that a regular seat cover would work with a CEET "tall" foam as it really wasn't much taller, just a little flatter.

Here's a pic of my CEET. Not sure on the specs since it came on the bike when I bought it. I have since switched it out for another seat. It was really comfortable though.

Thanks. I think that may be a standard height seat as it doesn't look any taller or flatter than normal but I wouldn't swear to it.
