so after months of whinging i can't get my jetting right i pulled off the exhaust to do a leak down test looked inside the exhaust port and noticed that the left hand powervalve is not there, would this be the cause of my rich running bike or do i need to keep searching, what are my options to replace a missing powervalve, can this part still be found,i think i read somewhere that it is obsolete.

Yeahhhh, it's kind of important to actually have all the parts inside the engine when tuning it.

What year is the bike?

H-series 200 cylinder parts: https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/kaw ... d-cylinder
E-Series 200 cylinder parts https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/kaw ... d-cylinder

If you have an older model, I believe the valves are discontinued. Look around on here, there is someone in Europe making steel ones. The company name is somehing like BD or BK, I can't remember off the top of my head.

You should put your bike in your signature so we will know what you are working on. Yes, your H series is still available. You will need to tear it apart to check the damage and see what parts are missing.

chees guys,my bike is a 1998 kdx220. i didn't think any human on the planet would assemble an engine with parts missing so never thought to look but after all the problems i have had with this bike a complete engine tear down is the only logical solution. thanks for the links i will get that powervalve ordered

Someone about a year or two ago bought one that came with no power valves at all, including the middle pieces.

Good luck on the build.

Have look in your exhaust as I have found one in the silencer before.
