hello im new .just done a top end on my 97 kdx 200 . its running even after i have removed plug wire any help please

Welcome to kdxrider.net. I think it is called dieseling. I can't remember anyone reporting that before.

Check your timing marks and make sure you installed the piston in the correct direction.

I had mine do that once on an extremely hot day the problem ended up being my floats. Mine didn't sit and run though it would diesel for a few seconds and fizzle out and only happened after a hard pull.

my cr85 does that if you leave the wire laying against the plug even if its off. move the wire further from the plug it'll shut off.
