OK... So I have a '99 KDX200... I bought a '94 KDX200 Fork with everything but the caliper... I thought I found a '94 caliper but it turns out its a '92. Will this still work and if so does anybody see any issue with using it? I am having a hard time finding a '93-94 caliper. Any info greatly appreciated. I bought the '94 front fork because they are suppose to be stiffer and better than the '99.

No, the 89-92 forks were conventional and the 93-94 were USDs. The calipers are also physically different, as is the caliper mount bracket. A 95 and later also will not fit without some re-engineering of the bracket. 91-94 KDX250 will fit, possibly a 90-92 KX250 would work as well since that is where that fork came from. One thing riding and maintaining old bikes does for you is gets you max skill on ebay lol.

Thanks for all the great info. I was able to find a really nice setup on eBay that was labeled for a KX... exact same caliper as the ‘94 KDX! You guys are awesome. Can’t wait to get the bike together and ride the crap out of her.

While I’m on the subject. Does anybody know if my ‘99 front wheel will, and or disk brake still fit or am I going to need to find one for this fork?

Front wheel should fit fine, you will need to use the 94 axle IIRC
