Looks like 91-94 KDX 250 is the only bike that part was used in. There is one, cheap, on ebay but the very end splines look to be stripped. Still may be usable with a new or very good shape shifter, though.

Probably not, and short of having a large assortment to choose from, there is no way to tell if another brand would work. We looked up the Kawasaki part number to see if they used it in any other machine and found that they did not. I found a, possibly, usable used one on ebay that you are welcome to inspect and see if it would work for you. That is the best I can offer. Good luck.

Here is a guy selling more than the shift shaft. Ask if he will sell just the shaft.

Another option is to find someone parting out a KDX250 and ask them if they have one. Sometimes a seller has not got around to listing a part yet, but does actually own it.

Good luck on your search. I now get what you are specifically asking, but yours is a "miracle shot in the dark" type question that is quite rare circumstances required. Someone would need a KDX250 shaft, then decide NOT to wait on a good one, then just have or buy some other shaft and try it out. Very rare situation.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the 250 and the E series 200 shared a bunch of bottom end parts. The p/n is different, but was fairly common for Kawi to change part numbers between models or generations even when the part hadn't changed. Of course, that doesn't really help because E model shift shafts seem to be nearly as hard to find as 250 ones.

I don't think anything substantial interchanges between the 200 and 250's. IIRC the E 200 was based off the '87 or '88 KX125 and the 250 off the '89 KX250. They have completely different clutch systems, transmissions, cranks, etc.

Different parts have different part numbers.

I doubt a 200 shift shaft will work because a 250 engine is wider.

Last resort if you cannot find anything and don't want to weld it up.
