Dry VS Wet Torque values

I'm at that point in a restoration where I'm concerned about torque values. I've been cleaning out threads and would like to use anti-seize when reassembling steel fasteners in aluminum. I have some 65% moly paste that I'd like to use, but this stuff is really slippery and probably would affect factory torque values.

Does anyone have a table, or factor that they use when torquing wet vs dry?

I might be wrong here but I think all the torque values manufacturers give, imply a wet thread so values might not be that affected. Personally, I use Kendall Blue Grease for "wetting" my bolts and never had a problem.

I am pretty sure it specifically stated dry threads in the KDX service manuals.

That first link of your's gave a correction factor when using Moly of 18% of dry torque. Considering all the 6mm bolts on the engine, 18% of say, 78 in-lbs, would be 14 in-lbs. That's like finger tight. I doubt that would be enough to keep them from backing out. I'm going to have to rethink this. Maybe Tef-gel.

For some reason I can't access those articles through my phone but is it possible they meant to say "18% less" rather than 18% of total ? Less than a fifth of the dry value sounds a bit odd to me [emoji54]

The values in the manual are dry and assume the fastener is only coated in the factory applied preservative (if any). Usually a moly based anti sieze is around 70-80% of dry value, dependant on the thread type and size/pitch.
If you do a google search, most manufacturers of fasteners will specify fastener torque for size with dry values and a correction factor for moly lube, based on tensile grade of fasteners.

I use Loctite 8012 65% moly paste. I found the manufacturer's data sheet and they provided a correcting factor of 40.7% of dry torque.

It lists a formula with a coefficient factor K, of 0.27 dry and 0.11 wet. 11/27=0.407
