I drained all the gas out of my '01 KDX 200, about 4 months ago.
Yesterday, after putting new premix in it, when I turned on the petcock, it started dripping.
I rode it anyway, and noticed that it stopped leaking after a while.
Have you guys seen this? One thought is that the seals just dried out, and once they were exposed to gas, they sealed again.
I this normal, or does the petcock need some work?

Re: petcock was leaking
If it starts leaking again, replace the o-ring.
My '87 did that when it sat up for a long time. I replaced the o-ring to stop it from leaking. Fuel dripping onto the cylinder fins was quite alarming.
