Awesome find on the second bike! Looks like a solid deal at $1000.

I'd either sell the old one as is and try to re-coupe your money back, or at minimal clean her up and spend $200 on a JD jet kit and new seat cover. If the JD kit doesn't fix the issues, then you can always sell the bike without it (install it in your new KDX) and note that it has fuel management issues and at least you are only down $100 for the seat cover.

On a side note, I'd swap out the purple shrouds onto your new bike as well. Or if you ever part the bike out, I'll buy them! Haha. If you've read, purple plastics are like gold around here.

Sorry guys been slammed with work and some of my other projects.

I sold the 1st bike to my buddy for 600$

I was digging through my parts box I got with my new bike and found this.

Now I'm wondering if my bike has reeds installed as well, how easy is it to check?

Second question is what are the metal pieces and is their a reason the Previous owner didn't install them with the reeds?

This things currently jetted 152/42

I'm going to change to 155/45 (have the jets here)

What in the hell is this needle clip position people keep talking about?

I have the float and needle out but I don't see any sort of adjustment. Any advice?

Thanks Jason.

Ok so jet needle was on 2 clip from the top. Moved it to the 3rd clip.

Swapped the 152 main to a 155 and the PJ from 42 to 45.

The bike pulls and revs out so much better!

But I'm still not quite there. 1st and 2nd gear the motor acts like it's missing or stalling and clears up with full throttle. This is on the street.

When I went for a quick ride in the woods close to my house 2nd gear was absolutely rippinggggg. I'm thinking that the extra wheel spin of being in the dirt was maybe letting the engine rev out Better

Should I go ahead and make the jump to a 160/48 jetting combo?

I'm at about sea level with high temperatures and high humidity levels.

With the stock 152/42 jetting the bike wouldn't clear up on the road until 4th gear and start pulling.

Now with the 155/45 it's pulling In 3rd gear hard and up hard but 1st and 2nd are still breaking up.
