KIPS subvalve/subvalve shaft seals?
I'm about to do the top end on my '01 and I've got the gasket kit already, but I've read on here that we need to buy extra o-rings or seals for some place in the KIPS? Is this true or am I imagining things?

Re: KIPS subvalve/subvalve shaft seals?
The only top end gasket set I've used is the Tusk one and I'm happy with it. It included all but two orings ...one for the right side kips shaft that runs horizontal in the cylinder and the oring for the slotted kips cover. The first oring is referred to as "packing" when you look up the OEM parts for the top end. I would replace both those orings while you're in there. I was failing a leak down test and it ended up being the kips slotted cover oring. I wasted a lot of time searching for the leak.
