Any one know of or have ?

Post by kawboy2006 »

I'm looking for black side panels and shrouds for my 06 200. But will consider white or purple I already bought a black mx style rear and black front but cant seem to find the others in black. and i'm not at all grazy about this new 06 green. I have a like new rear fender and front to trade as well as the shrouds with the stock graphics still near perfect if anyone is interested or knows where i can get the black or other colors let me know thanks!

Have you considered Krylon Fusion paint?

It does an excellent job on plastics.

Yes, scratches will still show original color...

ive already painted the original side panels and headlight assembly black with the krylon fusion which said no prep other than a quick wipe with paint thinner.
but i read other post here and ran a soft flame over them and used a very fine sandpaper before painting them. but and worried about chips etc. i would rather put someones 97 purple stuff on than have to keep touching it up.

I prepped my side panels with Xylene then put 3 coats of Rust-oleum plastic paint in gloss black on them. It doesn't have the slightest tendency to come off and only the deepest scratches (more like light gouges) come clear through to the white underneath. It's performing as well as I hoped it would. I highly recommend this way of doing it if you need to do some color changing on the plastic. Go easy on the Xylene though, it can be hard on the plastic if you use too much.
