Yeah, from what I have read the SR was based on the E model with the added street items to make a street legal. It was never introduced here in the States, though from what I hear it's much easier to get a non street motorcycle registered fro road use here than in many parts of the world.

I don't know what to do now. Blah.
the vapours additional dash has a neutral light, you just have to somehow get the internal switch to animate it,

I just wrote a novella about the neutral switch and accidentally hit the browser back button and nuked it. Where's the boo-hoo emoticon gone?
Anyways I was underneath and found this Image
Do you think that that might be the mysterious neutral switch? Sorry for the funky angle but if you tilt your head to the right then you can see it fairly clearly.
So I am wondering if I pull the cover to have a look then I might be in luck?

I've also put a piece of alloy on the fork bolts to put a Vapor on and I'll also drill 4 holes in it for LEDs for indicators, high beam and neutral.
I'm Scottish so I have to do it on the cheap bwahahaha

Cheers
Dave

The engine is a "G" engine correct? Look up the "G" model online parts diagram and check it out.

The neutral switch makes contact to ground and the wire appears to be light green. It also appears that the switch cable comes into the casing at the same place , as the magneto and cdi pulse wires.

The wiring diagram that Dodger supplied (on page 2 of this thread) shows the Neutral switch as having a grey wire (labelled GY) at the switch.
Then it changes to Light Green (LG)
It changes a couple more times before changing back at the bulb to Brown(BR) and Light Green (LG).

Just very wary of grounding out the switch with a test lamp hanging off the 2 wires for the bulb just in case I short something out.

What I am going to try is to take my DMM and see if I can find the grey wire first off all and see if it earths when I change into neutral.
I'll also try the Light Green one too.

If I can find one of the wires grounding out in neutral then I can cut it and run a new wire up to a bulb with a +ve wire on the other end.
Hopefully that will work :boogie:

Cheers

Progress!!
The switch in the previous post was the neutral switch...
I ran a wire from it to my meter and tested that it worked properly then hooked it to a bulb and it all worked :boogie:

I'm buying some LEDs and resistors and will mount them to a piece of alloy where the Vapor will be mounted.

Thanks koshari and the wiring diagram supplied from Dodger.
