carb
Thank you for all your help. Over the past month I took all of your suggestions and made the modifications to my bike. I cant wait to give it a go around. I do need help with one thing. After I got my bike all back together and turned the fuel on there is too much gas being dumped into the carb and leaking out the tubes. I checked the floats as well as everything else. I'm down to thinking that the needle is not seeding properly. My question is am I on the right track? And if so is this a fixable thing? If so how? Thanks for any input.

You are on the right track. Yes, it's fixable. Replace the needle with a new one and then recheck float height.

Re: carb
+1 what he said. Very common with the PWK carbs. Many find also that 16mm isn't sufficient for the float height to keep it from leaking and run around 18mm (myself included)

Re: carb
Is this like mentioned in the service manual? Were your measurements in line with what the service manual shows?kdxdazz wrote:as bufftester said, i found the only way to set my float height was using the clear tube method against the float bowl mating surface
