200 fit in a 220 frame?
I have a question for the group. I have a 2002 KDX 220 roller complete just need a motor. I tried to drop in a 1998 KDX 200 into it and all lined up except for the top mount to cylinder head, off set. Can it be done with another year? Or is there a bracket modified part? Or am I stuck just trying to find a 220 motor did not want to fabricate anything. If so any 220 motors for sale out there? Thanks all, great site !

Re: 200 fit in a 220 frame?
1995 to 2006 (H-Series) all take the same engine mounts regardless of whether it is a 200 or 220.
The differences between the two engines are bore, head combustion chamber size, cylinder porting and carburetor size.
That's it.
Maybe you have the incorrect brackets.
Post a picture.

Re: 200 fit in a 220 frame?
I don't have the 200 motor anymore but I looked at the pictures on eBay of both 200 and 220 and they do look alike,I must have the wrong mounts ? Well that makes it easier, thanks. Anyone got either a 200 or 220 motor complete for a 2002 frame let me know. Thanks!

We should talk.
I have a 200 motor on the bench that I've been saving for another hybrid project.
I'm not too far away from you in Oroville.

Maybe it was a 1989 - 1994 engine.

E series had one head mount and the H had 2.

A picture will help. Seems like there are some spacers that go in there? I can't recall offhand.
