Help ID exhaust

Post by scar77 »

New to me 96 KDX200 came with this pipe and silencer. Been googling part numbers trying to figure out what I have. Is this the same as a gnarly woods pipe? or is it for an older KDX? It looks like someone may have modified the mount closest to the silencer to make it fit. There is also a crack in the silencer that you can see in below pic anyone repaired one of these? Thanks for any insight.

The TDS3 is the FMF TurbineCore 2 spark arrestor. You can remove it, clean up the area and weld it up, or take it to a good muffle shop and they can repair it. Pipe looks like an older Gnarly Woods, but that part number is funky

Read on the FMF site about the Fatty series of pipes. FMF used to offer the Fatty for the KDX. Gnarly is one gauge thicker than Fatty.

Fatty has not been offered in the last ten years or sofor KDX.
