New Kickstarter Setup

Post by Logan_H »

So I was informed that I could remove the stock KDX220R 2002 boss lever/knuckle from the splines, and replace it with a KX250 bosslever/knuckle. Then after that, I would set up the rest of the kick start lever mechanism with the KX125 parts. I don't know all of the exact parts I need for that swap, so if anyone can go to Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and look at all of the parts diagrams and tell me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!

You don't need to keep making new threads for the same topic, could have just posted this reply in the thread from yesterday.

If you read through this thread, it explicitly states the part numbers needed to do the kick starter arm swap: https://thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/85 ... er-how-to/

Another alternative but needs to start with a good, or new KDX boss. Look down about 1/2 way through this post. I used my stock KDX boss and the lever from an 84-89 KX125. Its a direct swap lever to lever.
