New to me kdx
Hi guys, just scored a 92 200 w 900 miles. Not a mark on it, seat doesn't even have wear. It's like a time capsule. Hasn't run in 15 years I bet just by breaking some of it down. She has 151 for compression. Put in fresh everything (fluids and fuel mix) .. Cleaned the carbs, still won't start. It DOES have spark when I lay the plug on the head. I'm kinda lost now. Stator ? Ignition? I read a little on the stators.. But figured I would hit you guys up. Btw, won't kick or bump start. I got to bring her back from the DEAD!!

Clean the carbs again...really. Take it all apart and clean (do not soak in carb cleaner!) thoroughly, get some fine wire and gently clean as many of the passages as possible. Then properly set your float levels. Make sure everything else is mechanically sound...clean filter, new plug, check all your grounds and make sure they are nice and tight/clean, check the reeds as well. Congrats on the new bike as well!

Welcome to the forums. Is the plug new or used? Which plug is it?
DO NOT SOAK the carb (any 1988+).

+1 on a thorough re-clean also after 15 years make sure you have a good steady flow of fuel through the petcock the filter screens in the tank can get plugged up. Also check you dont have a family of mice making the airbox there home.

Ahhhh good call on the petcock flow. Never really checked to see it come out. I picked up a new BR8ES ngk plug. Ok. I will hit the carb again too. I didn't soak it. Just hit all orifaces w carb cleaner then used compressor to shoot air through it. Also removed and inspected jets( which were plugged) . I will keep ya posted.
