Help nowhere to ride near Nashville

Nowhere to ride. I'm in Nashville and have to load up and drive hours just to test ride my KDX. All the private landowners around here are afraid of lawsuits, even with a waiver. Lots off land around, but all owned by the rich and snotty. Any ideas? Thanks.

I got tired of driving to where I wanted to be. So Be is now home.

Thanks, but can't do that. To many obligations here. Good idea though, if I decide to go rogue.

I was in the same situation with nowhere to ride without driving at least a hour. Look for a long series of power lines. I found some that are a 5 minute drive from the house with no gate to get to them and a dirt service road that runs the length of them. There are other guys who've made a series a trails through the woods that run along the power lines. The only other place I've found near the house for jetting or just messing around in the grass is a semi professional/semi industrial park. There's no one around on a late Saturday afternoon or all day Sunday.

I have the same problem in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. All the good riding areas are 1-2 hrs away. That being said, it's always nice to get away from the rat race and I really don't mind the drive.

Pickett state forest isn't TOO far from Nashville......maybe an hour or hour and a half. Most of the great spots are further east near me......Windrock, Brimstone, Royal Blue, etc....

Since the tree huggers went nuts its 45 mins to the nearest riding, 2+ hours to most of the rest. We just make a lot of weekend camp trips during the riding season.

Been to Pickett State Forest near Jamestown. it's awesome! But, it's 3 hours from me. Lot of 2 -lane rural highways from Nashville. The Park is on one side, the Forest on the other. One can do anything they want to do in the forest, but not the park. A gravel road divides. The forest is huge! Saw a black bear mom and 1 cub couple of years ago while riding there. My so-called bad-ass-bully friend pussed out. I slept in a hard shell that night while camping, , he was in a tent. I played grunting bear noises on my phone during the night and the sob bully freaked! He deserved it. He is an ass to most folks. Not a real friend, just a friend of a friend. Rides an old CR and will start a fight over Hondas, What an ass.
