Kawasaki 2005 OEM Chain
Anyone know of a chain I can purchase and fits directly out of the box? I have everything stock on my bike. I bought a bike master 520 X 120 and I cut some links out and accidentally made it a length too short. So to make this easy can I buy a chain that fits directly out of the box?

1. You could just buy a joiner link and join your short chain, I've done it it works fine. People will say don't do it but hey it saves you money and it works.
2. Plenty of online sources for the right length chain just google it. https://www.ebay.com/p/BikeMaster-520-X ... /171213345 http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-EK-SRO6-520 ... 1124943481 http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/33 ... ring-chain
3. Get another 120 and have a mechanic fit it for you.
4. Buy a OEM chain from your friendly Kawasaki dealer

Places like Motosport or Rocky Mountain atvmc will sell you chains in specific lengths. My local shop only sells full length chains, so I bought chain tools a long time ago. They have paid for themselves over and over. Depending on what you did, if you NEED to save that chain, you may be able to splice in piece of the excess chain that you cut off and end up having two master links in your chain. Its not ideal, but could get you through for now so you can do some riding.

The stock length is 112 links. Since it's not easy to count out 112 links, buy a 120 and remove 8 links, or just buy a 112 link chain.

If in doubt, always get 120 then just remove the excess. It is not too difficult to do.

You might consider using an extra roller link and 2 master links.NewKDX wrote:Anyone know of a chain I can purchase and fits directly out of the box? I have everything stock on my bike. 220s came stock with O ring chain, while standard 200s used a non-O ring chain.
