Past posts have mentioned use of an ebay petcock sold for a KX 85 installed on an H Series KDX tank.
The petcock's outlet barb points toward the rear, and there's precious little room to run the fuel line down to the carb.
Can anyone describe how they made this work? I'm thinking about running a short fuel line to a brass 90 degree elbow to make the turn and then down to the carb connection. Maybe there's a better way?

Thanks for the pic. I really appreciate your posting this.
I guess I need to find a more flexible fuel line.

When you buy an OEM fuel line it comes in a 1' length

Ended up getting a piece of 3/16" ID yellow plastic type fuel line, like what the vents use, from a local small engine repair place.
Kind of a tight fit on the barbs, but very flexible snaking around and down to the carb barb.

Wouldn't the OEM part be a custom mold for the stock petcock to stock carb, not just a regular house?Willbilly wrote:When you buy an OEM fuel line it comes in a 1' length
I know this has nothing to do with the fitting of a different petcock, by the way.

No, it's just a length of fuel line.
I use Helix fuel line that I got from (I think) RMATV. It is sold in 3' length and is very thin (skinny). Here's a link

Works really well, it's very flexible and last a long time.
For carb and gas cap vents I use Free Flo hoses, bought directly from him (freeflohose.com ?). Guy sells them pretty cheap, ships free and the stuff lasts
