Hello
My rear suspension is stuck on my 91 kdx
I don't know if it are the bearings of the swingarm or in the linkage
Has anyone tried the all balls kits? Are they good? They are cheap!

Re: Rear suspension stuck
Probably all of them. If you go to the trouble to take all this apart why not replace all of them. When I bought my '99 220 I could not move the swingarm or linkage by hand.

Rear suspension stuck
As I recall, linkage bearing kits are separate from swing arm bearing kits. It's been awhile since I've done mine.
Do some searching here on this site. This subject has been covered at length. There are some upgrade bearings available from McMaster Carr IIRC.

I've used AllBalls many times with no problems. Just lube them up with some Bel-Ray waterproof grease, install, and ride!

Boom. Just did the same thing this winter. All balls linkage bearing kit, lower shock bearing, swing arm bearings.SS109 wrote:I've used AllBalls many times with no problems. Just lube them up with some Bel-Ray waterproof grease, install, and ride!
Edit: you're so close to doing the whole thing you might as well just buy front and rear wheel bearings and steering head bearings too

Hammering doesnt help it wont move!!!
Sprayed lots of wd40 on it and tried about everything to get it out but it still wont move

Re: Rear suspension stuck
The needle bearings have an inner sleeve that the bolt goes through. It is rusted to your swing arm bolt. WD40 is not a good penetrant, I like PB Blaster. You are going to have to get it past the seals and let it soak for a couple of days and keep trying. You are going to need a long punch and a big hammer.

Follow Dave's directions. PB Blaster is amazing stuff but it will probably take some time.

Re: Rear suspension stuck
Mine was stuck pretty good, I used WD-40 over a few days and a long punch and hammer eventually got it out.
