Pro Taper Bars + Cycra Probends.

Post by KDX220PHIL »

Anyone using the Pro Taper Se bars and bark busters or similar?

I am wanting to replace my stock steel bars with 7/8 alloy bars and I want them to fit my alloy mounts for my probends. The alloy mounts are .525" Dia.
The SE bars specicy a 5mm wall thickness, if it is 5mm at the grip area then the ID should only be .481". Not enough room for the alloy mounts intended for aluminum handlebars.
Anybody know if the wall thickness is smaller at the grip area?

Ahh, found an answer, the bars are counter bored to leave a 4mm wall thickness at the ends. Results in .560" ID in the bars ends.
