KDX 200 connecting rod lengths

Post by linny »

Hello all.

I'm trying to figure out a viable substitution for KDX200A model pistons

The current problem is that the 1995 KDX 200 piston will fit but the wrist pin puts it 3mm lower where the ring end passes the intake port

To avoid the ring end getting caught in the port, a connect rod that was 3mm longer could movie it up to clear the port

Is there any other connecting rod that is 3mm longer?

I think a couple of people were saying that the bottom of the piston went down 3 mm less far than the later piston, PLUS the ring pin was in line with a port opening. The crown to pin measurements seemed to be the same.
