Plastic Conversion

Post by GreenGoblin22 »

I have a 94 kdx 200 and was wanting to replace the plastics. I was wondering if any year KX 125/250 plastic kits are compatible. I have the 01 kx 250 front end for it i just have to install it. I found a complete set of KX 125/250 plastics for a lot cheaper that the KDX plastic. I will keep the headlight but the tail light i am not to worried about. And would I have to replace the tank as well. Thanks in advance guys i appreciate it very much.

Without a massive amount of plastic cutting and metal bracket fabrication, one will never get a KX kit to fit.

Front fender can be changed... Numberplate is not too much trouble to make work. Rear fender from a 1988 or 1989 KX may work, but if you are wanting something that looks flat and modern, it will be a cut and hack and have gaps.

Plastic Conversion

OK thank you i see that the kx 500 plastic is a pretty minor job to swap out. I like the headlight but do not like the rear fender. Mine are kinda beat up i will prolly just order the UFO or Meir plastics made for this bike. Just wnated to see my options

Here is a black KX500 rear fender on my E bike. I like the look pretty well. It fits the lines of the bike better than an upswung MX rear fender would.

If you take the motor out and put it in an 03-05 KX125 chassis, you have tons of different plastic options!
04/05 KX220 Hybrid all decked out

24 KTM 300XC-W Cheater bike
