I have a 2001 KDX200 and plan to do a top end rebuild this fall.

If it ends up needing to be replated, I plan on using Millennium Technologies.

Is it better to buy my new piston and rings ahead of time then send them along with the cylinder or should I just get them from Millennium?

Can I assume that the standard 66mm piston is what I'd need?

I sent my piston to them, but that's because I already had it. If I didn't, I would have simply ordered them with the replate. Pricing is about the same and it's the easiest path. BTW - they did an awesome job.

+1 on Millennium. They did a fine job on mine.

I sent them my new piston with my cylinder. I was able to get a deal on a new OEM piston. Otherwise I would have had them furnish the piston too.

They will size the cylinder bore to your, or their furnished piston.

Yeah, doesn't matter. Either send it with or get it from them if you want the best result.

IIRC, it is cheaper if you end up sourcing the piston yourself and sending it along, than buying it from them. I've heard all good things about Millenium. Another option is PowerSeal USA. I sent them mine because they had a shorter lead time at the time and they were a lot closer to me (helped with shipping cost and time).
