head set pin removal

Post by javjacob »

I pulled my carb and head so I can send them to RB to be worked over. RB says to remove the set pins on the head, I removed one without much trouble but the other one is stuck and I cant get it out. Is there a trick to getting it out?

I will try it some more. I have tried needle nose vise grips and still haven't got it to budge.

You might try some heat around the pin, not on it. While it's hot, spray on some penetrating oil.

Good luck with this.
